“Sport is part of every man and woman's heritage and its absence can never be compensated for”

We love our heritage. It is one of our most prized possessions. Most of it is situated in remote areas and hence, is out of reach for many. Take, for instance, the legacy of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the legendry king of Punjab, or the heritage of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh at village Narli or the traditions of the Manganiyars of Rajasthan, which we stumbled upon during one of our many efforts to know our country’s mores. We wanted to preserve and protect it for the posterity and found that there could not be a better way to do so than by promoting education and sports in these areas. Hence, we initiated educational programmes that are listed below.

  1. Manganiyar Lok Sangeet Sansthan: The Spring Dale Educational Society supports the Manganiyar Lok Sangeet Sansthan, founded for the children of the Manganiyar community of Rajasthan, based at village Hamira in Rajasthan. This institution has been set up to school Manganiyar children in music and take forward their melodic legacy. The students of this institution are now known faces at various national and international level festivals.
  2. Shaheed Bhagat Singh Memorial Computer Education Centre: With a view to preserving and promoting the heroic legacy of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, who hailed from village Narli, district Tarn Taran, the place where our founders too have their roots, the Spring Dale Educational Society has established Shaheed Bhagat Singh Memorial Computer Education Centre there. The Centre is equipped with modern paraphernalia and has well-qualified teachers provided by us.
